The building and construction trades unions invest over $1 billion annually in training and apprenticeship programs for their members, using no taxpayer dollars. These programs produce the highest skilled, safest and most productive workforce in the world. Each training program is approved by the Department of Labor. The three to five year, earn-while-you-learn model provides apprentices with on-the-job training and classroom learning that fully prepares students to enter the workforce upon completion of the program.

With a constantly changing energy industry, it is imperative that workers on energy construction projects are trained in the latest technique to meet industry demands. The building trades complete projects to the highest safety standards and ensure they meet specifications for years to come.

Helmets to Hardhats is a national, nonprofit program that connects National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military service members with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry. The program is designed to help military service members successfully transition back into civilian life by offering them the means to secure a quality career in the construction industry.
